Coaching Services

Welcome!

Congrats on taking the first step to consider your own well-being, and to learn about health and wellness coaching.

Services include 1:1 coaching in any area related to your sense of well-being, and group coaching programs on emotional eating and preparing for change. You have a variety of options, but they all start with a free 30-45 minute consultation with me to see if it’s right for you. You need to feel that I’m the right fit to invite along on your journey. My goal is for you to feel that coaching was wildly successful, and this consultation is part of that solid foundation. You can book the free consult from this website, or if you don’t see a time that suits you, I’ll find one for us. Simply email me at [email protected], and we’ll figure it out together.

Don’t forget to check out the About page on my site, and take a look at the testimonials, so you can learn more about me and about health coaching.

COACHING OFFERINGS

1:1 Coaching. You and I meet virtually (phone or Zoom) for 45-50 minutes as often as you feel is necessary/desired. You are in the driver’s seat here. Nearly any topic is fair game, as long as it relates to your sense of well being. It can include weight loss, your relationship with food, setting better boundaries, stress management, sleep, managing a chronic disease, etc.

Group Coaching Programs (min. 3, max 6 people; sign up with friends/family and you all receive 10% off any group program)

Group coaching costs much less than 1:1 coaching, and you have the added benefit of learning from others’ perspectives and experiences. I will ensure that it is a safe environment. If you don’t think it’s for you, however, we can review all of this material in 1:1 coaching.

Current Group Offerings:

Understanding and Exploring Emotional Eating Group (12 weeks)

This is offered a few times a year, limited to 6 spots. The next cohort (women only) starts as soon as we have three (3) people minimum signed up. Max six (6) participants. Same discount if you and a friend/relative sign up together.

Understanding and Exploring Emotional Eating is NOT a program about what you should eat. It IS a combination of education and support, designed to help you appreciate how your cravings, yo-yo dieting, difficulty losing weight, and stress/emotional eating are not moral failures. We will explore a wide range of topics related to your relationship with food, including the neurobiology of food and impacts on our brains, food addiction, and the impact of marketing and of early family experiences. We’ll talk about emotions and needs and how they impact our eating choices. We’ll talk about mindfulness and the nervous system, as well as your strengths, values, and much more. You’ll have opportunities to fill out several questionnaires and inventories that will contribute to your growth and self-awareness. When we have our free consultation, I’m happy to go over a detailed outline of the program so you’ll have a clear sense of whether it’s right for you.

You can expect to walk away from this program with a clear understanding of your history of struggles, an increased sense of control over your eating, and a plan for whatever future direction you’d like to take. Imagine having freedom, control, and confidence around food!

What people are saying about Understanding and Exploring Emotional Eating:
“I’m taking away that shame should not be a part of how we view our eating struggles.”
“Addiction (to food) is a symptom of something missing in your life.”
“The messages in these sessions are really resonating with me.”
“I’m realizing how confused I’ve been about my own eating and how much I needed this.”
“I see how I’ve been using food to meet my needs.”
“It’s nothing to be ashamed of if I’ve lost weight and then gained it back.”
“I have needs that I need to honor.”

Setting Yourself Up for Lasting Change Group (6 weeks)

Next Cohort TBD. Build one with friends, family, or colleagues, and you all receive 10% off!

Change is hard. Most of the time we get on a roll and then fall off the wagon. In this program, we’ll start with courage, spend 2 sessions each on strengths and values, and wrap up with setting up a clear vision for what you really want (not what you think you should do). These components are part of what makes health coaching so different from a conversation with any other health professional, and we’ll talk about why these concepts in particular are what help set us up for making behavioral changes for our health and well being which actually last. This group is a combination of education and discussion.

What people are saying about Setting Yourself Up for Lasting Change:
“It’s great that most topics were more than one session. I needed time for practice and to let this gel.”
“I really appreciated having things to do and to reflect on between sessions.”
“Everyone needs this!”
“I felt safe.”
“I felt heard. This was inclusive and supportive.”
“The group made good use of the time.”
“I realized I need to manage my time better. I loved that you always asked what our takeaways were.”
“I had no idea what my strengths were, or how much of myself I was giving away.”

Make now the time you take control of your health and well being.
