You Want Skills, Not Pills
Spoiler: Most diseases are considerably influenced by lifestyle.
The pills you take might alleviate some of your discomfort, but they will not do a thing to change the progression of the disease- and it will progress- without changes to your lifestyle. When diseases progress… well, I don’t need to spell that out. Yes, I do. Chronic disease starts with inflammation. Not like you sprained your ankle, but scary stuff on the inside we can’t see. The longer we have a disease process in play, the more inflammation we have, and that’s the stuff that leads to cancer, chronic pain, strokes, and heart attacks. The pills you take don’t typically address the inflammation that’s underneath. Let me repeat that: The pills you take don’t address the inflammation that’s underneath. They are band-aids only. You address the stuff underneath by WHAT YOU DO.
Procrastination, denial, blame, minimizing, avoidance, whatever we do to avoid doing the hard stuff, is often rooted in fear.
Fear of change, fear of failure, fear of success- it can all come into play when considering a lifestyle change.
But man, the picture with this post… It’s ridiculous. I’m happy to offer a free consultation to help you get off the merry-go-round of pill/symptom/side effect/pill/side effect/pill etc., etc.
Health coaching meets you where you are, and goes at your pace. People succeed more when they decide what to do, rather than being told. If this sounds intriguing, I’m happy to chat. Please reach out through my site or at [email protected] to schedule a complimentary consult.
